Client: AHL Commodities Exchange , a newly established commodity exchange in Malawi.
Challenge: Design, build and operate an end-to-end agricultural commodity exchange in Malawi.
Solution: Conducting feasibility study; designing a comprehensive structure for a commodity exchange; developing a business plan with operational process and policies for a well-functioning commodity exchange in Malawi.
Impact: The exchange was launched nearly a year ago and currently trades about 150 tons of grains per session.

Duration: October 2012 – June 2013
Client: World Bank funded and implemented by Bank of Tanzania/Capital Market and Securities Authority.
Challenge: Need for a business plan for a function commodity exchange in Tanzaniai.
Solution: Completion of a feasibility study and comprehensive structure for a commodity exchange, and business plan with operational process and policies.
Impact: The comprehensive proposal for the establishment of a commodity exchange in Tanzania is currently under consideration by the Government of Tanzania.

Client: East Africa Exchange. (EAX), Rwanda
Challenge: How to jump start the newly established regional exchange
Solution: Secondment of four highly skilled and experience commodity exchange experts in the areas of collateral management (warehouse operations), clearing and settlement, trading and legal/regulatory/compliance.
Impact: EAX is off the ground successfully, with a growing regional reputation. Stalwart continues to provide technical support on the development of various aspects of the exchange roll out.

Capacity Building workshop and certification for commodity exchange establishment

Challenge: Need for capacity building
Solution: Design a training program and materal for a certification capacity building workshop targeting stakeholders of Bangladesh commodity exchange.
Impact: 70 individuals, received training. Participant follow-up indicates strong adoption of training material.

Impact: 21 individuals, including 2 women, received training. Participant follow-up indicates strong adoption of training material.
